THE 2ND ANNUAL NANJING PEARL SPRINGS TOURNAMENT

The 2009 Nanjing Pearl Spring Chess Tournament takes place 28th of September (first round) through 9th of October (final round) in Nanjing, China. The field involves 6 of the biggest GMs in the world: Vesein Topalov, Magnus Carlsen, Teimour Radjabov, Peter Leko, Dmitry Jakovenko, and Wang Yue. With a total prize fund of 250,000, this is one tournament that the GMs will be taking seriously.

She'll be joining our members for all 10 rounds of the Nanjing tournament at our Live Broadcast Page. As an active player rated over 2500, we're certain that her analysis and commentary of the games will be highly elucidating. (In between rounds, be sure to stop by her fun website Pogonina.com, featuring videos, news, chat, photos, and more.)

For all 10 rounds, Chessgames will be covering the top board live from our website. (Please note: this feature is available to Premium Chessgames Members only.) As the moves are being transmitted live from China, they will be displayed on the large and attractive diagram at the top of the page. Members are be encouraged to share their opinions using the "kibitzing" area, and to enjoy the games in good company.

The rounds start at 15:00 Beijing time, which is 3:00am USA/Eastern, or midnight USA/Pacific. (The last round starts at 10:00 local time, or 10:00pm USA/Eastern time).
