Now, when August is coming to an end, it's nice to take a look at the cheerful summer photos. Today I'd like to share with you impressions from the European Team Chess Championship-2007 which took place in Turkey. The conditions (5-star hotel & a beach nearby) have attracted chess tourists from all over the world, among them an amazing number of top players: Anand, Shirov, Jakovenko, Ivanchuk, Morozevich, Eljanov, Kamsky, Mamedyarov, etc. The female part was also impressive: Humpy, Chiburdanidze, Zhukova, Hou Yifan, Pogonina, Muzychuk A., etc.

The exclusive photos of chess pros at work& leisure (most of them haven't been published anywhere) are courtesy of IM Pavel Lobach. Have a great time watching the new photo album!

The photo album was interesting but it would have been better if each photo were accompanied by the names of the player(s) in the picture or a brief description. A few photos of the city in which the tournament was played (with short descriptions)would have made the photo gallery even better.

The pictures are nice but it would have been better if each photo were accompanied by the names of the player(s)or a short description of the place/event.

I would have like it more if the photo gallery had some more pictures of the city where the event took place. This holds true of other photo galleries as well. When writing about a tournament it would be great if you could include a write-up about the city where it is/was held along with some pictures: it would be an interesting way of getting to know different parts of the world.

Thanks for the suggestions, Kabir!
We'll try to include more pics of the cities, although sometimes we just don't have the photos in our collection.
