Many readers have noted that the website would have benefited from more personal posts, not only the classical reports, articles, puzzles, etc. Thats why we decided to continue the 24/7 with Natalia Pogonina series. This episode isnt related to one subject (unlike the others), its just an informal summary of whats going on:

1)      Twitter. Twitter see the panel on the left is a great tool for sharing info and communicating. Natalia is one of the most popular Twitter users in Russia (#1 according to Twitterholic), so she can stay in touch with thousands of chess fans from all over the world. So, feel free to subscribe to her RSS feed, or at least follow her messages by watching the Twitter widget at Pogonina.com. Update: Natalias account is currently suspended due to a hacker attack. Thanks for your understanding and cheer-up supportive messages that youre sending!

2)      House affairs. As newlyweds, we have to spend a lot of time on house affairs. In fact, Ive been travelling a lot, so Natalia had to deal with all the tough home tasks, which has definitely been a burden. Shame on me!

3)      Your support. Thank you for all the comments, e-mails, messages in the Guestbook. We have also found out that the Donate button hasnt been working until recently. Now everything is ok, so if you like Natalias chess activities and would like to support Pogonina.com, please send her a gift using the special button.

4)      Articles. Please let us know what content appeals to you. Naturally, were all interested in increasing the amount of interesting materials at Pogonina.com, but, given the high standards weve set for ourselves, we just cant publish a new article every day. So, we could either invite other authors (thatd make the website less personal, a bit like a generic chess portal), or find some other solution. Suggestions?

5)      Chess Kama Sutra. Natalia and I are working on the book, the release is scheduled to be in early 2010. In terms of content everything is going smoothly, but the main issue is: who is going to pose for the chapter about sexual/chess positions? Drawings seem weird, actors thats dull, while Natalia herself is too shy to participate. As one my good girl friend put it, Of course shes shy! Just imagine someone walking up to her before the chess round and saying something like yes, your nude photos in Chess Kamasutra were quite cute!. What a mood-spoiler!

6)      Dragon Variation Contest. We have already received a few e-mails from people who like playing the Dragon. However, there is still some time until September, 1st dont miss your chance to be featured in the article by Natalia about the Sicilian Dragon!
