Magnus Carlsen defeated Viswanathan Anand quite convincingly with a 6.5-3.5 score: 3 wins, 5 draws, 0 losses. Hence, from now on he will be known as the XVI World Chess Champion. Magnus is scheduled to defend his title in 2014, November 5-24. Viswanathan Anand will be competing in the Candidates Tournament in 2014, March 12-30.
