Hikaru Nakamura (2784) A description of the format from the official website: This tournament will gather 8 players distributed in two groups of four players who are in confrontation in a tournament Round-Robin like Tennis Masters. Every match between 2 players consists of 2 games in the cadence of 25 minutes + 10 seconds (Fischer system) + if its necessary a tie-break of two games in the cadence of 4 minutes + 2 seconds (Fischer system) and after a decisive game with 4 minutes + 2 seconds for white and 3 minutes + 2 seconds for black but black needs just a draw to win the match. Both first ones of every group are qualified for the semi-finals where the first one of the group A faces the second of the group B and the first one of the group B faces the second of the group A.
