Maia Lomineishvili - Natalia Pogonina: annotated blitz game from WIECC-2009
Written by Natalia Pogonina
Saturday, 25 July 2009
Tryfon Gavriel, a gentleman from England (rated 2138 FIDE) & my friend at Twitter (his nick is @kingscrusher) was so kind as to annotate one of my blitz games played during the final tie-break at the Women European Chess Championship-2009. The tie-breaks have been rigorous and extremely tiresome (we have been playing all day long), so the quality of the game is not that high. That's why it's understandable that Tryfon decided not to dwell too much on computer evaluations, but rather provide a general overview from the "human" point of view.
A victory in the match earned me the bronze medal; 6,000 in prize money & satisfaction from finishing the event relatively successfully.
P.S. I hope you will enjoy the video. If you feel like making one yourself, I'd be happy to publish it at Pogonina.com & express my gratitude to your for studying chess and taking a look at my games!
