Each year the Association of Chess Professionals (ACP) keeps track of the performances of chess players and assigns them points based on the results. In 2007/08 Russian chess girls Tatiana Kosintseva, Alexandra Kosteniuk and Natalia Pogonina took the 5th, 8th and 10th places accordingly, but it was clear that their potential is higher.
This year the prediction came true, and Natalia became the 3rd most successful women player in the world according to ACP:
