Ten leading grandmasters decided to celebrate NY by playing at Reggio Emilia from Dec. 28 to Jan. 6. Here are the final results: 1-2: Gashimov (2733), Vallejo Pons (2698) - 6/9 3-5: Movsesian (2721), Navara (2708), Ivanchuk (2764) - 5/9 6-7: Caruana (2709), Onischuk (2683) - 4.5/9 8: Morozevich (2700) - 4/9 9: Short (2680) - 3.5/9 10: Godena (2549) - 1.5/9 Alas for Moro's fans, he didn't make an impressive comeback. However, he has lost a couple of completely won games, which can be attributed to his rustiness. Otherwise Alexander would have finished in a much higher place. Official website
