Written by Administrator
Saturday, 18 December 2010
Ruan Lufei (2480) Hou Yifan (2591)
Chess prodigy Hou Yifan (2591) managed to beat Koneru Humpy (2600) in the semi-final once again. She is joined in the final by her Chinese compatriot - PhD student at the Carnegie Mellon University Ruan Lufei (2480), who made a surprisingly deep run at the WWCC and knocked-out the former champion Alexandra Kosteniuk along the way. Four games will decide who will clinch the title, but one thing is certain - she will be Chinese.
