The Russian Higher League is the strongest national Swiss tournament featuring FIDE 2590+ rated (and some qualifiers) players in the men's section and 2360+ rated (and also some qualifiers) participants in the women's section. Both female and male masters are motivated by strong competition, prizes and a chance to win one of the 5 entries to the Russian Superfinal in November. Russian Higher League-2010 (Men): August 25-September 06 (Irkutsk, Russia). Swiss tournament, 10 rounds, 48 players.
