Arkadij Naiditsch defeated former European champion Liviu Dieter Nisipeanu in the very 1st round and went on to win the event

GM Arkadij Naiditsch won the tradional Grenke Classic super tournament in Baden-Baden, Germany. This year most of the strongest German chess players took part in the round robin. Our congratulations to the winner!
