Alina L'Ami - 1.5 Hou Yifan is just a few points shy of overcoming Judit Polgar on the women's live rating list. The Women's World Chess Champion won the FIDE Women's Grand Prix Series 2013-2014. Now she will either face the winner of the Women's World Chess Championship-2014 for the title, or, if she defends her crown in October, she will play Humpy Koneru, who finished 2nd in the Grand Prix. You can check out the final standings here. The Women's World Chess Championship is scheduled for October 11-31, but the venue is still unknown. This is highly unfortunate for the participants who can't book tickets in advance and prepare well enough & have to decline other invitations for the sake of a tournament which might not even happen .
