The 49th Capablanca Memorial is taking place in Havana, Cuba from May 8 to 18. The Elite group is comprised of Leinier Dominguez Perez (2768, Cuba), Vassily Ivanchuk (2753, Ukraine), Wesley So (2731, Philippines), Francisco Vallejo (2700, Spain), Zoltan Almasi (2693, Hungary) and Lazaro Bruzon (2682, Cuba).

There is also a Premier group (10 GMs/IMs) and an Open tournament.

Current standings in the Elite group: 1. So - 3.5; 2. Dominguez - 3; 3-4. Almasi, Bruzon - 2.5; 5. Vallejo - 2; 6. Ivanchuk - 1.5.
