The 6th edition of the Snowdrops vs. Oldhands event was held in Podebrady, Czech Republic, from November 30 to December 8. The traditional format is a double round robin with two teams participating: Oldhands (4 male veteran GMs) and Snowdrops (4 attractive WGMs). It looks as if the organizers are very proficient at maintaining a gender balance: as of today the historical score between the men's and women's teams is tied at 3-3.

This year the Snowdrops team was quite strong, and even a desperate catching-up attempt by the Oldhands in the last few rounds didn't help the chess legends save the match. The final score is 17.5-14.5 in Snowdrops' favor.
