  In the first round of the European Chess Club Cup most of the rating favorites won their matches convincingly in both the women's and the open sections.  Anna Ushenina's and Natalia Pogonina's opponents haven't arrived in Greece in time for the round. The closest game to being named "upset of the round" was Gueci (2054) - Bulmaga (2401), which ended in a draw after White failed to convert two extra pawns. On a a similar note, 2nd seed SHSM-Nashe Nasledie was on the verge of losing to Jelica PEP (#7).
