Alexander Morozevich (2770), currently ranked #9 in the world, had to withdraw from the Biel tournament due to medical conditions. He won the prestigeous event thrice (in 2003, 2004, 2006), but this year started with 0/2 against Anish Giri (2696) and Etienne Bacrot (2713). Earlier it has been announced that Alexander will skip the Russian Superfinal in order to prepare for the Chess Olympiad. We wish Moro a quick recovery. His numerous fans all over the world are supporting the Russian chess wizard.
