Colored Order

http://www.pogonina.com/images//colored-candy.jpg

Bigmouth Bertha had been given a bag of gobstoppers by her mother to stop her
wittering. The bag contained nine colored sweets: three red, three yellow and three green. Bertha removed three sweets from the bag, one at a time. Her brother, Boring Bernard, who was a collector of insignificant detail, noted the following four facts in his diary.

 (a) A yellow sweet was not taken out later than a green one and vice-versa.

 (b) Only if a yellow was removed later than a red one was a green taken earlier than a red.

 (c) A green was not taken earlier than a red and vice-versa.

 (d) The first colour was different from both the second and third colours.

What were the three colors in order of removal?

October 2

Autumn has come very unexpectedly this year- from the more or less sunny Turkey to the very rainy and windy Moldova.

It is the kind of weather when one doesn't want to do anything but staying under a blanket with a cup of hot tea in one hand and with an interesting book in the other one. Actually- I like this weather and it goes very well with the way I feel now, so I can't complain too much

While there is still debate today about the optimum time-control for official FIDE chess tournaments and matches, we take it for granted that there MUST be a time control.  However, this was not always the case.  The use of time-controls , and especially a chess-timer, was a rather late development in our ancient and noble game.   Up until the mid-19th century, players were free to think as long as they wished, and as a resultdespite misgivings the average game could last for hours on end.

Before the game it was clear that this game was going to be very interesting. Caruana needs to win the Grand Prix to take the qualification place for the Candidates and with Ivanchuk, as we all know all too well, anything can happen.

Agdestein (2603) - Adhiban (2587), 2013
White to move

A tragicomic endgame where both sides kept making one mistake after another, shifting the evaluation back and forth. For example, here White had a forced win, but went for a drawish continuation instead. Moreover, the position has been repeated 9 moves later. At this point White has found the correct way. What would you play?
