Magnus Carlsen has broken his personal record and is now at 2826, the second highest chess rating in history (after Kasparov's 2851). Another notable result in the elite group is Vishy Anand's 3rd place - he moved up by beating Topalov in the WC match.

Apart from Carlsen (+13), the largest rating gains for the 2700+ group were demonstrated by Nikita Vitiugov (+15), David Navara (+13) and Maxim Vachier-Lagrave (+13). On the contrary, Wang Yue lost an amazing 36 points, Gashimov - 15, Topalov - 9.
