Lately a lot has been said about Magnus Carlsen's decision to pursue a career in modelling. Leaving aside the argument between his fans (who are excited about it and say that chess needs that type of promotion a lot) and haters (no need to repeat their words here), I would like to share a funny pic that I found at Chess.com's message board:
Not only hilarious, but also with some hidden sense. Magnus (currently #1 in the world, FIDE 2826) is climbing the rating ladder at such a pace that sometimes he seems to be invincible for others...
On the current FIDE ratings list only one country can boast having a 2700+ average rating of top-10 players (Russia), 14 more - over 2600, 25 - over 2500. As we have covered all of them, now it's the time to review Peru.

This nostalgic table reminds of the times when there were no 2800+ rated
player when one could enter the top-100 being rated below 2500, when some
great world champions were still alive.
All the historical FIDE ratings and lots of other interesting information
is available at Olimpbase.
